Why renew?
Besides supporting an all breeds, all discipline equine organization in the state of Kentucky, you are also helping KEEP to build a network of thousands of Kentuckians working to support the state's number one agricultural crop.. HORSES. Since its inception in May 2004, KEEP has grown to over 15,000 members strong and has worked for passage of important Legislation benefiting the horse industry.

What has KEEP done? KEEP was instrumental in mobilizing its membership in support of the Breeder's Incentive Program for all Breeds.

KEEP also worked to get the sales tax removed from yearling kept in Kentucky for training placing it on a level playing field with other states.

KEEP has given more than $600,000 to over 800 horse-related organizations throughout Kentucky the last four years as part of its grassroots efforts to help horse organizations across the state.

What is KEEP doing? KEEP's 2010 Legislative Agenda will focus on the removal of the sales tax from feed and equipment for horse owners. Meanwhile, the KEEP staff is overseeing a Youth Council designed to bring together youth from varied backgrounds on horse issues. KEEP will continue to support local 4-H programs, horse shows, FFA, academic equine programs, trail riding organizations, and breed associations through its grassroots efforts.
